Epipactis gigantea.

Marsh Helleborine.

A hardy terrestrial North America creeping orchid, found in naturally damp areas.

Flowering stems up to 35cm tall are produced in Spring with many 25mm yellow and copper red flowers per stem.

Requires damp soil in full sun or light shade. When happy, underground rhizomes form a colony of tightly clustered stems. If grown in containers use same soil mix as for dactylorhiza.

Divisions supplied with at least 2 good size buds. Usually takes a year to settle down but is not a difficult plant to grow.
