Dactylorhiza saccifera is found throughout the central and eastern Mediterranean region. This fully hardy orchid has elongated spikes of pink-purple flowers with well-marked, divided lips making good size clumps in time. Flowers from early June. Grows happily in cultivation

Nutrient poor, slightly alkaline soil. Prefers full sun or partially shaded position. Grows approx 30cm high but can grow up to 1m.

Tubers on offer are all flowering size and freshly lifted. Supplied as a bare rooted tuber. Ex in-vitro seed raised so colour will be variable.
